Financial Post - It has been a busy few weeks for Ted Livingston. Over the past three weeks, Mr. Livingston's Waterloo, Ont.-based startup Kik Interactive has launched a new smartphone messaging application, watched as it was downloaded more than two million times and spent a panicky few hours one day early this month shipping a dozen servers overnight to the company's data warehouse in Idaho just to make sure the service didn't crash.
